I’m not much of a softy, but I will admit this made me cry. Not just cry even, weep. But get your kleenex ready because it is beyond-words-worth the read. Brought to my attention by the marvelous Roger Ebert’s twitter, this is the story of one family’s battle with the cancer of their infant daughter from the viewpoint of her father. It contains the most hauntingly beautiful metaphor I’ve seen in a very long time as he explains how their pain in the face of her unique disease and eventual loss is an aquarium.
